◆ ABOUT THE SHOW ◆

Glamour, 1940s style.

About Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree

Where Fiona's other 1940s shows are performed in uniform, this one is for bookers who want pure film-star glamour. The energy is that of an American swing show, and Fiona looks every inch the movie star.

Her close harmony work is a highlight. She sings in triplicate, which recreates the sound of the Andrews Sisters, and the Andrews Sisters Medley features Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.

Because it avoids uniform, the show sits comfortably in a hotel ballroom, a dinner or a vintage party, as well as at 1940s weekends where a change from uniform shows adds variety to the programme.

◆ ON THE DAY ◆

Just add a room.

How it works

Fiona is completely self-contained. She brings her own sound system and backing tracks that she has had recorded to her own orchestral arrangements, so there is no band to book unless you want one.

Set times for her 1940s shows can be 1 x 60, 2 x 45, 2 x 60 or 3 x 45 minutes.

Fiona likes to tailor each show to the venue and the occasion, so tell her what you have in mind when you enquire.
